Our guest speaker Marie Donnelly addressed members on the issue of climate action, and most importantly the role that ACESA members can play in making the necessary changes and transitions. Marie spoke of how Ireland, as a smaller country that punches above its weight is in a position to be a leader in this area, but how we are not taking this opportunity seriously. As state agency leaders, she asked that ACESA members become more aware of their organisation’s footprints. Without this knowledge they will not be in a position to show leadership and lead the way in terms of making the necessary changes.
